Oil lamp

As it was known that fire brings light..people always wanted to light up every room without making camp fire in each room..so they come up with this----> an oil lamp.
An oil lamp is an object used to produce light continuously for a period of time using an oil-based fuel source. The use of oil lamps began thousands of years ago and is continued to this day.
Oil lamps are a form of lighting, and were used as an alternative to candles before the use of electric lights. Starting in 1780 the Argand lamp quickly replaced other oil lamps still in their basic ancient form. These were, in turn, replaced by the kerosene lamp in about 1850. In small towns and rural areas these continued in use well into the 20th century, until such areas were finally electrified, and light bulbs could be used for lighting.

PLOUGH

Yes it's a good old plough...
Manny people wonder how did old people come up with invention of the plough..whell story goes like this..
When agriculture was first developed, simple hand-held digging sticks or hoes would have been used in highly fertile areas, such as the banks of the Nile where the annual flood rejuvenates the soil, to create furrows wherein seeds could be sown. To grow crops regularly in less fertile areas, the soil must be turned to bring nutrients to the surface. The first people known to plough were the Sumerians.
So why do we turn the soil?

When an animal flesh and plant debris falls on the ground it starts to deteriorate..By that mean it is eaten by bacterias and worms..and when they do that, they leave Calcium and minerals behind them.. which are very good for future plant..
But what if there is no plant or animals for a longer period..that the soil creates its fertile layer..which you need to turn up for the plants you are going to plant :) or seeds

Door lock

DOOR LOCK

Yeah, it is an ancient invention...Made by Egyptians :))
They invented it  to end the constant burglary and breaking into houses.

Cool,ha? :)

BOOMERANG

Boomerang

Very cool thingy :))
We aaaaaall know that boomerang came from Land down under...wright? Australia, wright?

biiiiip....wrong..answer :)

The oldest known boomerangs come from Europe

Used either as a weapon or for sport, these devices are flat, curved structures thrown through the air, only to return to the thrower.
One boomerang that was discovered in Jaskinia Obłazowa in the Carpathian Mountains in Poland was made of mammoth's tusk and is believed, based on AMS dating of objects found with it, to be about 30,000 years old.

King Tutankhamon, the famous Pharaoh of ancient Egypt, who died over 3,300 years ago, owned a collection of boomerangs of both the straight flying (hunting) and returning variety.

There are many shapes depending on its flight characteristics

I hope you liked it ;) for more info e-mail me or google it

Baghdad battery

Baghdad battery

No it is not made in China..it is made in Baghdad ;)
The story goes like this:
In 1936, while excavating ruins of a 2000-year-old village near Baghdad, workers discovered mysterious small vase. A 6-inch-high pot of bright yellow clay dating back two millenniacontained a cylinder of sheet-copper 5 inches by 1.5 inches. The edge of the copper cylinder was soldered with a 60-40 lead-tin alloy comparable to today's solder. The bottom of the cylinder was capped with a crimped-in copper disk and sealed with bitumen or asphalt. Another insulating layer of asphalt sealed the top and also held in place an iron rod suspended into the center of the copper cylinder. The rod showed evidence of having been corroded with an acidic agent. They found mode than one..

Here is the picture:
Many people tried to reconstruct it..and you guess it..it worked..
Seems like they knew how to make a battery..

But we know that Alessandro Volta made an electrochemical cell in 1800..this was discovered in 1936...no connetions..but only a mistery
It is mostly connected with this Egyptian wall drawing:

  • Priest
  • ionised fumes
  • electric discharge (snake)
  • Lamp socket (Lotos)
  • Cable (Lotos stem)
  • Air god
  • Isolator (Djed-Pillar)
  • Light bringer Thot with knifes
  • Symbol for "current"
  • Inverse polarity (Haarpolarität +)
  • Energy storage (electrostatic Generator?)

  • Maybe they were more advanced then us..or somebody was teaching them...

    Saqqara Bird

    Saqqara Bird

Saqqara bird iz probably the simplest and coolest things you will ever see..and very intriging one.
First of all this wooden "toy" doesn't rally represent the bird..although it looks like one..but birds don't have tails like planes ;)
    Take a look at it:

Just look at it...I mean...what the H**...ancient Egyptians made this??
Some say they did and they also say that THEY where first to build an airplanes..?
Some say that this is the part of an ancient knowlege left by the ancient rase of aliens who are said to be BACKK!?

This aretfact has perfect aerodynamics and flyyyyyyyyyyyyys :))))

(note*I do not own this video)

    for more info...googleeeeee :)

    See ya later ;))

    THE MAYA CALEDNAR

    the MAYA CALENDAR

People..this is probobly more sofisticated than the computer you are on now.
Yeah, it is..no, really ,it is.. ;)

This is not actually a gadget..but it is a system..as gadgets have some kind of a system..this is a GADGET :)

I can not describe the whole thing in this post..or in 50 posts..so I'll going to try keep it simple.
It is a system of calendars...numeric system...religion...and history.

I bet you all heard for december 23. 2012...it is an end to that calendar which dates back to August 11, 3114 BCE in the proleptic Gregorian calendar or 6 September in the Julian calendar (−3113 astronomical).
So you can see that they had thier own concept of time..and obviesly and space..they (or someone else) built calendar which suits to universe but not to Earth..you cannot mesure your crop grow by the 260 days of the year XD

    little akward,ha??

It makes no sence as deeper you get..
How can someone so primitive, who, by the way, sacrifices people, make such a complex system and vanish  at the top of it's life?..

Noone can answer..only speculate because the spanish and christian fanatics destroyed 99% of their culture..yeah.. I am angry to

i've said..simple.. YOU don't have time for complex definitions and number on kechua language ;))

No pics guys..cuz none of the pics can describe the maya calendar ;))
This should be pretty enough for you to  be interested..after that..google it..and read more books about it people ;)

    See you next time ;)

P.S. if the world ends this year..be sure to live your life as best as you can..BE AWESOME ;)

    Antikythera Mechanism

    ANCIENT GADGETS

If you could ask yourselves what is the coolest and the oldest gadget in the world..I would answer this:
    Antikythera Mechanism

SO....It's a chunk of nothing looking like something...
But when you take a better look..you can see this:
Whell..Us engineers can see it..but it is actually an ancient MECHANICAL COMPUTER!!
It calculates  astronomical positions. The device is remarkable for the level of miniaturization and for the complexity of its parts, which is comparable to that of 19th-century clocks. It has more than 30 gears, although Michael Wright (see below) has suggested as many as 72 gears, with teeth formed through equilateral triangles. When a date was entered via a crank (now lost), the mechanism calculated the position of the Sun and Moon or other astronomical information such as the locations of planets. Since the purpose was to position astronomical bodies with respect to the celestial sphere, with reference to the observer's position on the surface of the Earth, the device was based on the geocentric model.

The mechanism has three main dials, one on the front, and two on the back. The front dial has two concentric scales. The outer ring is marked off with the days of the 365-day Egyptian calendar, or the Sothic year, based on the Sothic cycle. Inside this, there is a second dial marked with the Greek signs of the Zodiacand divided into degrees. The calendar dial can be moved to compensate for the effect of the extra quarter day in the solar year (there are 365.2422 days per year) by turning the scale backwards one day every four years. Note that the Julian calendar, the first calendar of the region to contain leap years, was not introduced until about 46 BC, up to a century after the device was said to have been built.
The front dial probably carried at least three hands, one showing the date, and two others showing the positions of the Sun and the Moon. The Moon indicator is adjusted to show the first anomaly of the Moon's orbit. It is reasonable to suppose the Sun indicator had a similar adjustment, but any gearing for this mechanism (if it existed) has been lost. The front dial also includes a second mechanism with a spherical model of the Moon that displays the lunar phase.
There is reference in the inscriptions for the planets Mars and Venus, and it would have certainly been within the capabilities of the maker of this mechanism to include gearing to show their positions. There is some speculation that the mechanism may have had indicators for all the five planets known to the Greeks. None of the gearing for such planetary mechanisms survives, except for one gear otherwise unaccounted for.
Finally, the front dial includes a parapegma, a precursor to the modern day almanac, which was used to mark the rising and setting of specific stars. Each star is thought to be identified by Greek characters which cross reference details inscribed on the mechanism.
The upper back dial is in the form of a spiral, with 47 divisions per turn, displaying the 235 months of the 19-year Metonic cycle. This cycle is important in fixing calendars.
The lower back dial is also in the form of a spiral, with 223 divisions showing the saros; it also has a smaller subsidiary dial which displays the 54 year "triple saros" or exeligmos. (The saros, discovered by the Chaldeans, is a period of approximately 18 years 11 days 8 hours—the length of time between occurrences of a particular eclipse.)
IF you are interested in BUYING REPLICA OR TO KNOW ALL ABOUT IT.. google is your best friend ;)) This if far as I can get ;))
